Footnotes
LOOK TO THE CROSS rated off the pace and the inside, began to creep closer while three wide midway on the final turn, asked along when now four wide exiting the bend, engaged the leaders past the furlong marker and proved best under steady handling. SOUPER ATTENTIVE pressed the issue up front while firmly in hand and between horses, moved to challenge late in the final bend, showed the way through upper straight, responded when the winner challenged from the outside and gave ground grudgingly to the wire. BOURBONATOR lacked speed toward the inside, behind a wall of horses into the lane, continued in some traffic then improved position a bit when clear the final furlong. KY THIRTY WON void of speed for over six furlongs, came four then five wide for the drive, staged a mild rally down the middle of the course, narrowly missed the show. COBBLESTONE BRIDGE fractious prestart, raced within striking distance, closer inside in the far turn, was covered up through much of that bend, moved a bit closer past midstretch then came up empty the final sixteenth. SUMMER VIBES prompted the issue up front while racing three wide, weakened through the lane. PHRASEOLOGISM last to leave, raced back and was never a threat, got loose pulling up. JIBILIAN took command soon after the start, set pace, gave way when headed second turn.
