Footnotes
CALL THE CAVALRY with the pace from the start, vied between horses into the turn, three path into lane, engaged the new leader in upper stretch from the outside, dueled to the wire and dug in late to prevail in game fashion. ONEOFTHEGOODGUYS back off the early pace inside, made a good gain along the inside into contention by late turn, cut the corner to gain the advantage entering the stretch, was joined by the winner soon after, dueled to the wire, outfinished by that same rival late while narrowly holding the place. WHO SAYS SO lacked early foot, steered out in upper stretch when set down, finished with good late energy to be getting to the top two late while outside that pair at the wire. CATALINA EXPRESS vied up front on the outside, four wide through the turn, little left for the stretch run. NO CENTS NON CENTS in tight early, raced in the second flight, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing kick. LOYAL CLEMENT raced in mid pack early, moved out for the turn, came five wide into he stretch, also failed to muster a closing rally. DAN D'ORO remained back in failing to menace. ARROW GHOST threw head at the start to spot the field a few lengths, remained back while picking off a couple of tiring rivals. AMBUSHED tired while racing five wide late in the turn. HAPPYFLYER with the lead pack while in the two path for three furlongs, gave way through the stretch. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE START, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
