Footnotes
HAPPY CAT broke alertly, showed the way into the turn toward the inside, set a soft set of early fractions, spurted clear into the lane then held the runner up comfortably safe late under steady handling. THE BULLION BOMBER (IRE) broke well inside the winner, followed that one into the turn, covered up through the bend along the inside, got clear for the drive, slowly gain while holding the place in the late going. SLIPPIN JIMMY broke back, angled out to be four wide when moving a bit closer late in the turn, lost some ground to the top two entering the stretch, mild interest while remaining well out in the strip, not enough for the place late. READY FOR A FIGHT bobbled at the break, quickly recovered to race within striking distance, moved slightly closer three wide late in the turn, had little left in the late going to be outkicked for the show spot. MAXWELL ESQUIRE pressured the winner from the outside four three furlongs, weakened. NO ANGEL fell back to trail in the turn, failed to muster a response in the drive.
