Footnotes
MENDELJOHN (IRE) broke outward, fanned three wide into the opening turn, chased after MOB BOSS leaving the backstretch, gained the lead at the head of the lane, and held firm under a late threat. SPORTSCARR allowed to settle inside, shifted outside entering the final turn, responded to handling and could not get by after a good late effort. POINT TO THE STARS trailed the field, and closed gradually. SQUALOTORO bumped leaving the gate, was five wide in the first turn, was roused wide in the final turn, and lodged a mild late bid. ZONE CONTROL broke into NICE GUY EDDIE when leaving the gate, was wide into the opening turn, and passed tiring rival late. MOB BOSS showed the way into the backstretch, was overtaken in the last turn, and stopped. NICE GUY EDDIE bumped at the start, and lacked a bid. HARD DIAMOND stalked the early pace, and faded steadily inside.
