ABOVE AVERAGE contested the early pace, drew clear in the far turn, and opened up through the stretch to an easy victory. DREAMB contended the pace along the rail, was unable to move on with the eventual winner and held on for place. CROWN OF CAIRO was five wide through the backstretch, closed two wide in the stretch to secure show honours. LICORICE trailed, waited inside in the final turn and bid belatedly. LOVEABOVEANDBEYOND saved ground, chased leaving the backstretch and came up empty in the drive. ROSE OF TEXAS was three wide into the opening turn, and tired early. CRANBERRY CHILL offered little.
