PONDEROSA stalked the pace while three wide, went in pursuit of the leader in the final turn, rallied inside of HABADABADOO and held on. HABADABADOO settled inside, drove four wide at the head of the lane, moved up menacingly alongside PONDEROSA, rallied determinedly but was unable to get by. ZIPLINER contended the pace outside of COOL BOE, inherited the lead at the quarter pole, and was rundown midstretch. ARE GEE unhurried early, fanned four wide, leaving the backstretch, and tired. COOL BOE sent for speed along the rail, pressed the pace, lost path in the final turn and wilted.
