Footnotes
TORIADOR broke alertly, then crossed over on the field to show the way, responded gamely to threats into the stretch, and held. DRINKING AGAIN settled four wide, loomed boldly midstretch but was unable to reach the winner. KAUAI DAN sat in striking position while just off the rail, moved up menacingly along the rail when entering the stretch and weakened midstretch. KEEN FLATTER unhurried early, and closed late. SIR BREGOVIC was six wide leaving the backstretch, and had nothing left in reserve late. CHASE THE CHAOS lost ground leaving the backstretch, and tired early. MOODY JIM (IRE) trailed into the final turn, was pulled up, did not finish and walked off.
