Footnotes
AFFAIR was five wide leaving the chute, contested the pace then showed the way leaving the backstretch, was joined by LIGHT FAST FEET, responded to the challenge and held firm under a late drive. LIGHT FAST FEET tracked three wide, moved up nearing the quarter pole to challenge the lead, but couldn't get by in the final strides. FEBRUARY vied for the early lead leaving the chute, stalked along the rail through the backstretch, and lacked a kick that was required. COUNT ON IT sat in range early, swung wide at the head of the lane and closed belatedly. RISING STRONG lacked a solid bid. ROSE OF TEXAS trailed early, then shifted three to four wide leaving the backstretch, and was roused to no avail.
