LA PATRONA broke alertly then vied for the lead, gained the advantage nearing the quarter pole, and drove clear late stretch. JACKPOT BAR tracked the pacesetters while four to five wide, was roused at the quarter pole, closed steadily while drifting inward through the stretch, and was along late for place honours. AH TOUCHE contended the early pace while three wide, and gave way grudgingly mid-stretch. TANGO FOR THE SOUL hurried away, stalked the pace from just off the rail, and had no response when called upon. FOX CREEK NINE gapped early and bid belatedly. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate times.
