PAPICHULO sent for speed, fanned three wide in the opening turn, set a pressure pace while two wide, was kept under encouragement into the stretch and drew clear. CURLIN ROCKS was outsprinted in the first turn, pressed the pace from the rail, was unable to move on with the eventual winner and evened out. AWESOME CRUSADER was allowed to settle within striking distance, was roused at the quarter pole, and rallied to earn show honours. RAPTURE BAY stalked the pace while four wide, and lacked the late rally needed. MEHLEK mild interest late. TRAPEZE hurried away, and lacked a bid.
