STONE CARVER took command early, responded to a looming threat at the quarter pole, drew clear and was kept to task. SHASHASHAKEMEUP tracked the pace from the three path, lodged a bid nearing the quarter pole but was no match for the winner. SOMTHING ELUSIVE was wide throughout and closed steadily late, just missing out for second place. PERDITION chased the leader while four wide, was brushed at the head of the stretch and yielded. WINTER FALCON was six wide through the backstretch, then went three wide in the far turn, drifted wide in the final turn and stopped. BON PRIX was outrun, and was eased in the final turn.
