B B BETH dueled inside of DAZ LIN COMMAND for the early lead, disposed of rival at the head of the stretch and drew clear. ATTA BOY GIRL broke in leaving the gate, saved along the rail, and closed late. BENZENE hustled away, was four wide in the backstretch, swung out then angled in sharply at the head of the lane, and rallied belatedly. SUNDAY RAIN hopped leaving the gate, chased and closed well. PORTER'S PRINCESS was allowed to settle well off the pace, and went evenly in the stretch. CHASING DAYDREAMS tracked the dueling pacesetters, was roused nearing the quarter pole and weakened late stretch. OUR LIFE'S WORK dismounted rider in the gate, fanned three wide leaving the backstretch and came up empty in drive. DAZ LIN COMMAND vied for the lead outside of B B BETH, gained a short advantage in the far turn, and faltered in the stretch. SPIRIT CHASER stumbled badly leaving the gate, went to knees, and never recovered. STEWARDS INQUIRY- The Stewards conducted an inquiry into the start of the race involving SPIRIT CHASER. After review of the film, they determined that SPIRIT CHASER received a fair start and no change was made.
