NOVEL contended the pace from the rail, responded gamely to the challenge from B C CHU CHU, and kicked clear under a confident ride. B C CHU CHU broke into SOLAR FORCE leaving the gate, moved up five to six wide to challenge the front, and lacked the rally needed. BEAUTIFUL CALL was gapped early, and bid belatedly. BROKEN PROMISES hustled leaving the gate, pressed from between foes, dropped back in the far turn, rallied under heavy encouragement outside of DIFFERENT DRUM and flattened. DIFFERENT DRUM hit the gate leaving, sat in range along the rail, and dueled into the stretch. SOLAR FORCE bumped away from the gate, stalked four to five wide, and failed to threaten.
