LEMON MERINGUE hustled away, settled just off the leader, tracked RAPTURE BAY, then closed steadily to catch and run him down late. RAPTURE BAY was six wide entering the backstretch, moved up closer nearing the far turn, overtook the leader at the three-eighths pole, then drew clear, and was collared late in the stretch. STARFALL was wide entering the backstretch, stalked four wide into the far turn, and closed well late. TRAPEZE trailed early, and bid belatedly. SOMTHING ELUSIVE was allowed to settle off the pace, and tired late stretch. BODEMONSTER saved ground early, drifted wide in the final turn, and closed outside. OVERLY FAST offered little. SANDINI sprinted to the front, was overtaken and gave way.
