ZONE CONTROL vied inside, held a short advantage into the final turn, and won handily. NORTHERN FORCE sat midpack while four to five wide, responded when asked and got by in just time for place honours. HE LIKES WINNING hurried outside, prompted the pace leaving the backstretch, was no match for the winner in the stretch and was caught late. MAGIC TIP chased inside, moved up menacingly at the head of the stretch and weakened. OAK BAY QUALITY lacked a bid. DRAMATIC FLAIR showed little. VANTASTICCANAVERAL tracked three wide, and faded.
