NEWHART lacked early foot, advanced steadily around the final turn, drove between SCUFFLE and BIG CURL through a seam, and was along just in time. SCUFFLE hurried three wide into the opening turn, led the way through the backstretch, drew clear in the final turn, saw margins decrease entering the stretch and was collared in the final strides. BIG CURL fractious before the start, sat in striking distance while three wide, went in pursuit, nearing the quarter pole, and was outkicked. PRIME DIRECTIVE sat midpack while two wide, gained quickly in the final turn, and yielded late in the stretch. MY MUNNINGS MODEL followed SNAP TO IT wide into the opening turn, angled down to two wide entering the backstretch, swung out near the quarter pole, and passed a tiring rival. SNAP TO IT went wide in the first turn, lagged through the backstretch while five wide, and offered little late. MR MORRIS tracked four wide, chased outside in the final turn, and gave way in the stretch. VECTOR stalked the pace while three wide, and was through early.
