DALE'S MAGIC sat just off the pace, swung three wide at the head of the lane, gained the advantage over SWIFT KAHUNA into the stretch and drew off to an easy victory. SWIFT KAHUNA broke inward leaving the gate, stalked from the rail, overtook the lead leaving the backstretch, responded mildly to the challenge from DALE'S MAGIC, but was no match late and finished clearly second best. ARTIC CAUSEWAY away slow, was three wide in the backstretch, swung five wide in the last turn, and rallied belatedly to earn show. PENICILLIUM contended the lead inside of ARI READY, was overtaken and flattened out in the stretch. REDNECK REBEL lacked a clear path leaving the gate then was soon gapped, gained closer order in the final turn and weakened. SURGING SKY was unhurried away, saved inside, lodged a bid but was unable to improve position in the stretch. ARE GEE brushed SWIFT KAHUNA leaving, then was hurried, was six wide in the final turn, and gave way. SCHMUGLEY was five wide, cut the corner, leaving the backstretch, and yielded. MOON MULLINS chased six wide, and tired. ARI READY pressed the early pace while four wide, and tired early. The OFFICIAL VETERINARIAN reported MOON MULLINS as having bled.
