BALTIC FIRE settled outside a rival, went three deep into the backstretch, drew closer from outside, bid three deep approaching the quarter pole, grabbed the lead at the top of the stretch, led clear into the final furlong, challenged by PUBLIC ASSEMBLY past the sixteenth pole and was able to hold on. PUBLIC ASSEMBLY unhurried in the early going and steered to the inside, moved into range on the far turn, given her cue while tipping out into the stretch, split foes past the eighth pole, rallied inside BALTIC FIRE in deep stretch, gained inch by inch to the wire but ran out of ground. MAY DAY READY tracked the speed along the rail, asked in the two path on the far turn, took aim three wide turning for home, chased willingly through the lane, lacked the needed late punch but was able to hold third. RAW ABILITY (IRE) steered to the inside trailing the field, shifted to the two path at the quarter pole, steered out into the stretch, rallied from outside but could not get by MAY DAY READY for third. CERTITUDE (FR) stepped to the front and set tone along the fence, took pressure early on the backstretch, dueled with RESOLVE around the far turn then vied with outer pair past the quarter pole, relinquished the lead at the top the stretch, failed to kick on with the winner into the final furlong and weakened in the late stages. RESOLVE stalked in the two path, joined CERTITUDE (FR) on the backstretch, fought on even terms around the far turn, vied between late on the bend, could not keep pace with the winner in upper stretch and also weakened. SAQQARA SANDS (GB) showed early foot then raced keenly behind CERTITUDE (FR) on the clubhouse turn, stalked the top pair up the backstretch, drafted behind the leader saving ground through the far turn, roused approaching the stretch and tired in the final furlong.
