BARTHOLDY took control from inside, pressured by MIDWAY LANE, cleared that rival at the five-eighths pole, drew off under coaxing on the far turn and widened under urging in the lane. MIDWAY LANE pressed the pace from outside, chased after the leader past the five-eighths pole, remained closest in pursuit through the far turn while watching the winner kick away, kept trying without making a dent in the winners margin and bested the rest. MC VAY tracked in the four path around the clubhouse turn, stayed off the rail to the second bend, remained wide into the stretch, could not summon the needed rally and held third. INDISPENSABLE traveled outside a rival at the back, trailed off the rail in the middle stages, passed rivals on the far turn, moved out in the lane and rounded out the superfecta. MORUNNING stalked from inside, fell out of range on the far turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened. FIRMUS tracked five wide around the clubhouse turn, started to weaken in the four path on the second bend and was never a factor. FROSTY INDULGENCE settled inside then moved to the two path, chased between rivals into the far turn, rounded that bend two then three wide and had little left for the stretch run. MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH chased two then three wide early, lost ground on the backstretch, dropped back to last in the three path on the far turn and tired.
