MESCALERO pressed the pace from inside, moved up on even terms into the turn, seized control in upper stretch, moved clear past the eighth pole, came under threat from SIR ROCKET late and was able to hold on. SIR ROCKET bumped leaving the gate, chased from off the pace, saved ground around the turn, closed into range in upper stretch, surged late to reel in MESCALERO but ran out of ground. PRIVATE GEM broke well, chased outside a rival then moved inside, angled out in upper stretch, put in a mild late bid and earned the show honors. ROGUE LEGEND (GB) got put in tight along the fence early, continued to give chase on the inside, eased off the rail around the turn, took aim three wide turning for home, challenged in upper stretch but could not summon the needed late kick. DR. MY EYES got bumped and lost his path at the start, trailed on the inside, angled out in the lane and finished well to share a minor placing. YACOWLEF (IRE) settled outside a rival, remained two wide to the stretch, angled out into the clear, finished willingly but lacked the needed late punch. POSEIDON'S LAW bumped leaving the gate, got shuffled early, traveled near the back on the inside, tipped three wide around the bend, angled out widest in the lane and showed late interest to close the gap on the winner. RE ARMED JON chased off the rail then outside a rival, navigated the turn three wide, tipped out for the stretch run and finished evenly. VALIANT SON got floated in at the start, raced outside a rival near the back, got moved out to the four path on the turn and failed to threaten. LEGAL HEIR broke in then quickly took control while under pressure from MESCALERO, dueled with that rival into and around the turn, fought to upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong.
