Footnotes
BALAZA was hard to load prior to the start, forwardly placed for a bit then got put in tight and checked early, stalked the speed in the two path around the bend, steered out at the top of the lane, rallied five deep and proved best late under right handed urging and steady handling. SACRED SOUND raced up close from inside, waited behind the leader around the bend, failed to find a space open up in upper stretch, shifted back inside at the eighth pole, finished well and got by MAGGLES MCGEE for second. MAGGLES MCGEE chased two then three wide, bid outside the top pair at the top of the stretch, put a head in front approaching the sixteenth pole but got outkicked by the top pair late. UNUSUAL EXCHANGE pressed the pace from outside, lost touch with the leader leaving the backstretch, re-bid at the quarter pole in the two path, held a narrow advantage over LET IT BEGIN at the eighth pole, lost command outside the sixteenth marker and flattened late. PLATINUM GROOVE was off slow to begin, angled to the inside, crept closer from the fence on the turn, had to steady when losing her path at the eighth pole, moved out a bit and was ridden out to the wire. MIA PIA allowed to settle at the back of the back, traveled near the rail or in the two path on the turn and passed tired rivals. LET IT BEGIN took control under pressure from UNUSUAL EXCHANGE, cleared that rival approaching the turn, tested by that rival again nearing the quarter pole, resisted to the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages. SISSY GIRL coaxed along early from off the pace, traveled two wide on the turn, three wide into the lane and failed to rally.
