FREE CLOSER stalked three deep in the early going, entered the turn in the four path, drew closer while moving in a couple paths, drew alongside SENTIENT SOON late on the bend, surged clear in upper stretch under strong handling, powered away past the eighth pole and was geared down late. STAY BOSSY came out slightly at the start, dropped back early, trailed three wide into the turn, moved to the two path then steered back out and exited the bend four wide, produced a mild rally and bested the rest. STRIDENT MISS bumped leaving the gate, pressed SENTIENT SOON from outside, failed to keep up with the leader early on the turn, chased two then three wide to the stretch and weakened. SENTIENT SOON showed the way early with STRIDENT MISS applying pressure to the outside, cleared that rival with three furlongs remaining, confronted by FREE CLOSER past the quarter pole, yielded in upper stretch and weakened in the final furlong. YOU TRUST ME broke in and bumped STRIDENT MISS, stalked between runners early, fell out of range two then three wide on the turn and tired. JOLENE FURY pursued the top pair from inside, lost ground through the turn and had little left for the stretch run.
