Footnotes
LIBERTY CAT was closest in pursuit in the early going, came under a ride from the rail on the turn, moved out midstretch, closed in nearing the sixteenth pole and overhauled the runner-up. HAL OF A DAY sprinted clear and crossed over, remained unchallenged through the turn, asked left handed in upper stretch, remained clear to the sixteenth pole and got run down by the winner. CAN'TAFFORD NOT TO steadied briefly early then tracked out of range up the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch and kept on to earn the show honors. MISSED FORTUNE got shuffled early then angled to the rail and picked up momentum, hugged the rail to the stretch, moved out in the lane and closed the gap on the top trio in the furlong grounds. BOLD TIGER hit the gate and stumbled slightly at the start, settled four deep early, chased three wide into the turn then quickly moved into the two path, angled out in upper stretch and failed to rally. HALLAGREY chased with rivals at the back, had to take up behind NEVER OBEY at the seven-sixteenths pole, went two wide through the turn and was never a factor. BELIEVER suffered an early shuffle, got blocked and checked hard at the seven-sixteenths pole, trailed on the inside through the turn and passed a tired rival in the lane. NEVER OBEY chased outside rivals then shifted in at the seven-sixteenths pole, saved ground through the turn and came up empty in the lane.
