HIMARI established the front quickly, showed the way on the inside through the turn, took pressure from LEAD THE WAY KAY late on the bend, moved clear again into the final furlong and inched away while kept busy to the wire. LEAD THE WAY KAY stumbled in the hind-quarters leaving the gate but quickly recovered, was closest in pursuit of HIMARI early on, drew alongside that rival late on the bend, got turned away in the furlong grounds but was clearly second best. CONVO bumped leaving the gate, chased between runners then outside a rival up the backstretch, took the turn three then four wide, could not threaten the top pair down the lane but was able to secure third. SLICE trailed on the inside to the stretch and passed tired rivals. MESMERIZE broke in and bumped, tracked three deep while out of striking distance, remained off the rail to the stretch and weakened. STREET SWINDLER brushed leaving the gate, chased on the inside, went two wide into the lane and flattened out. GOLDEN HOPE sat off the pace outside rivals in the early going, took the turn four wide and proved no menace. SAUCIER chased along the rail then moved into the two path early on the turn, continued two wide into the lane and lacked the needed response. KIZAZI laid off the pace early, took the turn two wide and was never a factor.
