NET PAR was antsy in the gate, stalked the top pair up the backstretch, traveled on the inside into the turn, tipped out to the three path, challenged three deep turning for home, seized control in upper stretch, put EARLY ENCORE away midstretch, came under threat from KING KAMEHA late and was able to hold on. KING KAMEHA coaxed along while climbing a bit chasing up the backstretch, went two wide into the turn, drew closer while angling out around the bend, loomed in the four path entering the lane, chased determinedly into the last sixteenth, drew alongside NET PAR, gaining to the wire but got denied. EARLY ENCORE grabbed the early lead then gave the lead to FUMANO'S FIRE dueling up the backstretch, battled head to head through the turn, carried a narrow lead over outer pair into the lane, lost command in upper stretch, lost contact with the winner midstretch and stayed on for a clear third. FUMANO'S FIRE took a short lead dueling outside EARLY ENRCORE in the opening stages, relinquished the lead approaching the stretch, failed to kick on with the leader into final furlong and weakened in the late stages. PRIME LISTING bothered a bit leaving the gate, chased outside rivals at the back into the turn, angled to the rail past the five-sixteenths pole and failed to menace. PRIME SPLASH stumbled leaving the gate, settled off the rail then moved inside, dropped back on the turn and passed a tired rival in the lane. JONNY'S CAP stalked off the rail or outside a rival, dropped back two then three wide on the turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
