Footnotes
IMA TRACK STAR stalked along the rail into the turn, took aim in the two path leaving the turn, drew alongside CHAPTER ONE outside the sixteenth pole and wore that rival rival down to take over and inch away late. CHAPTER ONE sped clear and set the tone up the backstretch, led along the rail through the turn, given his cue at the three-sixteenths pole, showed the way into the final furlong, challenged by IMA TRACK STAR entering the final sixteenth and could not hold on. DESERT KAT broke a step slow, gave chase from inside, drifted a bit at the quarter pole then once again entering the lane, kept trying down the stretch and bested the others. JOHNLINO followed in range from off the rail, took the turn three then four wide, failed to rally in the lane but churned on for a minor placing. R DANNY BOY settled on the inside, cut the corner into the lane and improved position. TIGER STRENGTH traveled four then three deep at the back in the early going, moved into the two path for the turn, found the rail in upper stretch and passed tired rivals. MEEKING came away clean and tossed his head briefly but was not cost any momentum, chased from off the pace staying away from the rail, went four wide into the turn, exited bend in the five path and had little left for the drive. SHADY GEM stalked the speed outside a rival, went two wide into the turn, got bothered a bit between rivals at the quarter pole but had already started to weaken, came three wide into the stretch and tired.
