SMART CODE was fractious in the gate, broke well then had to steady between rivals early, moved over to the rail in pursuit, saved ground through the turn, joined the fray from the fence at the eighth pole, took over midstretch and drove clear. DANIEL'S MAGIC stalked the top pair three deep to the turn, loomed four wide turning for home, bid four deep in upper stretch and got outkicked by the winner. GAZON (GB) prompted the pace from outside, fought in the three path turning for home, put a head in front briefly past the eighth pole, quickly overtaken by SMART CODE and lost second. TOM SEAVER settled off the rail, made progress three then four wide on the turn, tipped out at the top of the lane and finished evenly late. ENTERDADRAGON was off slow to begin, dove to the inside early, saved ground to the stretch, kept trying down the lane but needed to find more in deep stretch. COMEDY TOWN showed the way early under pressure from GAZON (GB), carried a short lead over that rival into the lane, clung to a narrow advantage at the eighth pole, lost the lead after crossing that marker and weakened in deep stretch. NIJINSKY HALO showed early foot then chased between rivals, drifted out a bit and checked nearing the five-sixteenths pole, continued two wide to the lane and weakened. KIMMER reared at the start and spotted the field several lengths, passed URBAN RULER leaving the backstretch, saved ground along the rail and was never a factor. URBAN RULER broke well then dropped back quickly, trailed three then two wide into the lane, eased to the wire and walked off.
