GOT'M COT'M followed closely from inside, waited behind the leader on the turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, drew alongside HOWIE'S LAW midstretch and dug in to edge the runner-up. HOWIE'S LAW stepped to the front and crossed over, took pressure from WALL STREET up the backstretch, drew clear around the turn, showed the way into the final furlong, challenged by GOT'M COT'M midstretch and yielded grudgingly late. PALMER BEACH broke well, steadied briefly when HOWIE'S LAW crossed in front, chased three wide leaving the backstretch, four wide into the lane and lacked a bid. KING STEPHEN stumbled leaving the gate, settled inside, moved into the two path on the turn, cut inside turning for home and weakened. WALL STREET stalked briefly then went up to apply pressure to the leader from outside, lost contact with the leader midway around the bend, chased two wide into the stretch and weakened. AGROWEST had to check off the heels of PALMER BEACH early, dropped back to last, trailed two to three wide on the turn and was never a factor.
