CAPTAIN GABE took a short lead inside rivals, cleared on the turn, drew off under a drive and was ridden out to the wire. MY BOX OF LIGHT dropped back early and angled in, advanced along the fence through the turn, came out in upper stretch, had the rider, lose the crop at the eighth pole and held second under strong handling. BATTLE SCHOOL broke a step slow, tracked four wide to the stretch and could not get by MY BOX OF LIGHT for the place honors. TACOS AND TEQUILA followed in range three wide into the turn, moved to the two path, angled out from behind a rival late on the bend, entered the lane in the four path and never threatened. ATTACK NOW lacked early speed, saved ground through the turn, steered out in the lane, split foes with a sixteenth remaining and improved position. MAXXANDER chased from off the pace and stayed away from the rail, rounded the bend in the four path, moved out further in the lane and failed to menace. TREXIMO vied between rivals up the backstretch, chased two wide on the turn and faded. MISSILE CRUISER vied three deep between runners in the opening stages, chased after the leader three wide on the turn and faded. CIMARRON STRIP fought for the lead four deep up the backstretch, dropped back on the turn, angled to the two path and tired.
