Footnotes
CAISSON settled inside, ran into traffic on the far turn, stayed on the inside, flew late in deep stretch and got up at the wire. DANDY MAN SHINES (IRE) dueled from outside leaving the chute, took a stalking position first time in the stretch, surged ahead between rivals past the five-eighths pole, moved to the rail once clear of inner rival, shook free on the far turn, led clear into deep stretch and got nailed on the line. BEEF WINSLOW tracked three deep then moved into the two path on the clubhouse turn, went three deep once more into the second bend, moved into second around the final turn, took aim two wide into the lane but finished evenly late. CATHAL (IRE) got put in tight and steadied early, trailed on the inside, lacked room when boxed in at the quarter pole, tipped out at the top of the lane, summoned a mild rally and rounded out the superfecta. KAWAZAKI (IRE) followed in range on the inside, chased two then three wide on the second bend, kept trying in the lane but needed to find more. COWBOY MIKE dueled from inside leaving the chute, cleared first time through the stretch and showed the way along the inside around the clubhouse turn, was challenged by a pair of rivals early on the backstretch and relinquished command, chased the top pair to the far turn, came under a ride around that bend, moved out in the lane and weakened. SIMPLEXITY (IRE) raced outside a rival at the back of the pack, chased between at the quarter pole, tipped four wide into the lane and failed to menace. GHAZAALY got crowded and steadied early, settled in the two path, chased three, four, then five wide on the far turn and lacked further response. JEWELED SHILLELAGH stalked outside rivals then moved into the two path, moved up to challenged early on the backstretch three deep then pressed the leader from outside to the far turn, dropped back around that bend and tired.
