Footnotes
TAM TAM was closest in pursuit of the leader from inside in the early going, crept closer on the backstretch, flanked the leader into the far turn, followed in the two path to the stretch, challenged at the top of the lane, seized control midstretch and drove clear in the last sixteenth. LOOKIN AT DIAMOND settled on the inside, stayed on the fence through the far turn, tipped out into the lane, closed well to gain second but could not reach the winner. KENSINGTON LANE (IRE) stepped to the front and crossed over, controlled the pace up the backstretch and far turn, challenged by TAM TAM at the top of the lane, clung to narrow advantage at the eighth pole, relinquished the lead shortly, weakened in the final sixteenth but was able to save third. GREEN CARRERA (GB) was off slow to begin, trailed in the two path into the clubhouse turn then found the rail, shifted back to the two path on the far turn still at the rear, spun three wide into the stretch, roused at the top of the lane, produced a mild rally and almost got by KENSINGTON LANE (IRE) for the show honors. INBOX (GB) traveled in mid-pack from the two path early on, drew closer around the far turn, tipped out in the lane and could not summon the needed late kick. RAIDING PARTY (IRE) raced outside a rival near the back of the pack in the opening stages, steered out on the far turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. VICTORIOUS DREAM (IRE) tracked the pace from inside, crept closer in the middle stages, drafted behind the leader around the far turn, became rank briefly when roused at the top of the lane, chased within striking distance into the last sixteenth but could not produce a bid. DEFINE (IRE) followed in range from the two path, drew closer three deep on the backstretch, continued three wide through the far turn and weakened in the lane. PEANUTBUTTERBOMBE sat off the pace outside a rival, angled four wide into the lane, angled in upper stretch, steered out a bit midstretch, lacked room at the sixteenth pole and could not rally. WILD LIKE THE WEST traveled on the inside near the back, saved ground through the far turn, ran into traffic briefly late on that bend and failed to menace.
