Footnotes
INTREPIDO dueled inside BIGGIEBIGGIEBIGGIE in the opening rounds, held a short lead inside a trio of rivals early on the far turn, edged clear with a quarter mile remaining, drew away under some right handed urging and steady handling, lost the crop when switching to the left hand late and stayed well clear to the line. PLUTARCH tracked from inside then in the two path on the first turn, lost some ground on the far turn while moving in then angling out wide, came five wide into the stretch and closed well catch his stablemate for the place honors. PROVENANCE was off slow to begin, chased three then four wide early, followed closely from outside up the backstretch, bid four deep on the far turn, could not sustain the challenge lost touch with INTREPIDO at the quarter pole, chased three wide turning for home, was closest in pursuit of the leader with a furlong remaining but flattened to third late. ERUPTION off slow from outside, stalked in the three path early, pressed from outside leaving the backstretch, challenged three deep but could not keep up outside the quarter pole, exited the bend in the four path and faded. BIGGIEBIGGIEBIGGIE went up to challenge for command outside INTERPIDO, battled with that rival to the far turn, yielded midway around that bend, trailed two wide into the lane and tired.
