Footnotes
SPEARFISH unhurried in the beginning on the inside, went outside a rival on the backstretch, angled outside a trio of rivals on the far turn, had a lot of work left to do entering the final furlong, surged late to reel in the leader and got up at the wire. LET SEAMUS GO dueled from outside then cleared inner rival first time through the stretch, moved inside and opened up a large lead, continued all alone on the front-end around the far turn, remained well clear into deep stretch, grew weary late and got nailed on the line. VOLATILE STORM brushed leaving the gate, got put in tight entering the stretch for the first time, traveled along the inside near the back, tipped two wide at the quarter pole, moved out in upper stretch and showed a mild rally to edge ONE MOR STORY for third. ONE MOR STORY brushed leaving the gate, settled inside, came under a ride on the far turn, tipped out a bit at the top of the lane, kept trying through the final furlong but got edged for third. MISCHIEFS CAUSEWAY tracked from inside then moved into the two path while falling out of range, chased between rivals from off the pace into the far turn, got put in tight at the quarter pole and weakened. THE KEY IS UNITY settled outside a rival, moved into the three path on the first turn, remained three deep on the second bend and failed to menace. THREE GEORGES dueled from inside early then ceded command in the stretch for the first time, remained closest to the far turn, crept closer around that bend, then faded down the lane.
