Footnotes
LEFT HAND MAN tracked three deep early, range up four then three deep on the far turn, took over at the top of the lane, dueled outside CLOONEY to the wire and gamely prevailed. CLOONEY stalked in the three path around the first turn, bid three deep on the far turn, led two wide between rivals into the lane, lost command shortly after, battled back from inside and finished gamely in defeat. GREAT KING (FR) showed the way early from inside, took pressure leaving the backstretch, headed around the far turn, lost command late on the bend, yielded in upper stretch, weakened in the furlong grounds but managed to save third. FIREMAN DAN trailed in the two path early, angled five wide around the far turn, offered a mild response when called upon but could not get by GREAT KING (FR) for third. FATHER DELAY stalked two wide in the early going, bid between rivals on the far turn, lost touch with the leaders past the five-sixteenths pole and weakened in the drive. CONTRARY CHIEFTAIN pursued the leader from inside, asked along the fence on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and weakened. READY TO POUNCE raced in range two wide, tipped three wide past the five-sixteenths pole and faded in the lane.
