Footnotes
YELLOW CARD pressed outer trio early then stalked leaving the backstretch, eased out to the three path around the turn, bid three deep turning for home, took the lead in upper stretch and held well in the end. INCANTO (IRE) stumbled leaving the gate, chased from inside then in the two path on the turn, steered out for a clear run in upper stretch, rallied from outside but could not get by the winner. TIGERHON (FR) angled inside sitting off the pace, cut the corner into the lane, moved off the fence in the drive, closed well but missed second. TEJON PASS vied three deep up the backstretch, dueled from outside around the turn, lost command in upper stretch, fought on to the sixteenth pole and weakened late. PATRON D'ORO threw his head at the start and was held a bit too long by the assistant starter to come away very slow, trailed on the inside then went outside a rival on the turn, tipped out into the stretch and showed late effort to close the gap. AGENCY chased outside a rival into the turn, three deep at the quarter pole, spun four wide into the lane, tipped out widest in the drive and needed to find more in the furlong grounds. JERRY'S SPIRIT vied four deep to the turn, fought three deep to the five-sixteenths pole, could not kick on with the top pair with a quarter mile remaining, came four wide into the drive and weakened. FOR ALL MANKIND raced up close five deep early, chased four, three, then two wide on the turn and weakened. PROOF HE RIDES was antsy in the gate, went up to fight for the lead between rivals then on the inside leaving the backstretch, dueled around the turn, yielded with a furlong remaining and gave way. FOLLOWING AN INQUIRY REGARDING THE START OF PATRON D'ORO, THE STEWARDS RULED THAT HE DID NOT RECEIVE A FAIR START AND IS DECLARED A NON-STARTER.
