Footnotes
WALTZ ACROSS TEXAS was off a bit slow to begin, trailed on the inside, lacked room behind rivals around the bend, stayed on the fence to the stretch, flew late and got up in time. FLY AT KNIGHT broke out and bumped MIA PIA then went up to duel from inside, cleared into the turn, opened up in upper stretch, led well clear into the final sixteenth, grew weary late and got nailed by the winner. MIA PIA broke a step slow and got bumped at the start, raced along the inside near the back, saved ground through the turn, angled widest in the lane, surged late and missed second. NATURALLY BLONDE tracked from inside, altered out wide early on the turn, angled back to the three path, showed late run and rounded out the superfecta. SACRED SOUND stalked the top pair up the backstretch, had to take up behind BUZZ THE TOWER and shifted out approaching the five-sixteenth pole, went two wide into the lane, kept trying through the final furlong and got edged for a minor award. DIALING DESTINY raced three deep off the pack, angled to the inside on the turn, moved out in the lane and showed a mild rally between foes late. BUZZ THE TOWER dueled from outside then lost touch with the leader into the turn, shifted to the rail early on the turn, was closest in pursuit into the final furlong and kept on to the wire. MENDELSSOHNS ANGEL chased between foes out of range, got forced wide at the five-sixteenths pole, moved back in and traveled three deep at the quarter pole and could not rally down the lane. KNEAD THE DOUGH was off slow to begin, raced outside a rival towards the rear, chased between runners at the quarter pole and failed to menace. GOING GREAT GUNS settled outside a trio of rivals, got forced out at the five-sixteenths pole, came six wide into the stretch and had little left for the drive.
