AWESOME RHYTHM dueled from outside, led three wide into the lane, held a short lead over KINGDOM HEART midstretch and edged clear in the final sixteenth. ELWOOD BLUES bobbled leaving the gate, chased five wide into the turn, seven wide into the lane, finished well and got up for second. KINGDOM HEART stalked along the inside into the turn, angled out and bid four wide into the lane outside the top pair, fought outside the winner to midstretch, got turned away in the final sixteenth and lost second. RED FLAG unhurried in the early going, gained two wide through the turn without being asked, given his cue in upper stretch and flattened out in the late stages. GHOST OF MIDNIGHT stalked off the rail, three wide into the turn, exited the bend in the five path and weakened. GA MO TAK (CHI) coaxed along outside a rival at the back, trailed three wide leaving the backstretch, cut to the inside quickly, hugged the rail to the stretch and failed to menace. TAPALO stalked three deep early, went four wide into the turn, six wide into the lane and tired. TALL PAUL dueled inside AWESOME RHYTHM up the backstretch and around the turn, fought in the two path turning for home, yielded in upper stretch and gave way.
