SUNGLOW (IRE) broke a step slow, sent through between rivals while bumping early, went up to duel from inside, carried a short lead through the turn, battled with MAGNFICAT down the lane and gamely prevailed. MAGNIFICAT dueled outside SUNGLOW (IRE) up the backstretch, around the turn and down the stretch, shifted out and bumped HELGA BRANDT (IRE) late, dug in the final strides and missed. HELGA BRANDT (IRE) got bumped early then chased between rivals early then moved inside, drafted behind SUNGLOW (IRE) around the bend, waited for room leaving approaching the stretch, tipped out into the clear, bid outside the top pair, got bumped by MAGNIFICAT late and kept on to the wire. HALSTYN ROSE got bumped between rivals early, showed speed then got put in tight past the half-mile pole, stalked two wide around the bend, tipped out at the the lane, chased within striking distance into deep stretch but finished evenly late. PAARL got bumped and squeezed early between rivals, angled to the inside, made progress around the bend, moved off the fence in upper stretch and could not rally. DONATA broke inward, got put in tight on the fence early, trailed along the inside, steered out into the lane and showed late run while failing to threaten. DOUBLE BAY (IRE) chased four wide into the turn, moved to the three path then shifted out and came five wide into the stretch and lacked a rally. RICE PADDY broke a step slow, chased for a bit then drew alongside the leaders leaving the backstretch, chased three wide around the bend and weakened. WATERSHED MOMENT pressed the top pair from outside early, dropped back around the bend and had little left for the drive. FOLLOWING AN INQUIRY, THE STEWARDS' DISQUALIFIED MAGNIFICAT FROM SECOND TO THIRD FOR SHIFTING OUT AND CAUSING INTERFERENCE TO HELGA BRANDT (IRE) LATE IN THE RACE, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING. THE RIDER ABOARD PAARL LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST A FEW RIVALS EARLY IN THE RACE WHICH WAS DISALLOWED.
