CAROLINA LEGACY grabbed the lead quickly, met the bid from RIDE THE TIGER at the five-sixteenths pole, turned that rival away turning for home and powered away under strong handling and left handed encouragement. RIDE THE TIGER stalked the speed outside rivals, challenged CAROLINA LEGACY at the five-sixteenths pole, got turned away by the winner coming into the stretch and stayed on for a clear second. YAUTOWN dropped back early, angled out at the half-mile pole, went four deep into the turn, moved down to the three path then tipped back four wide late on the bend, showed a mild response down the stretch and picked up the show honors. SIGMA BOY sat off the pace, chased three deep leaving the backstretch, angled to the two path then came three wide into the lane and improved position. MARION MAGIC raced in mid-pack staying off the rail, traveled in the three path on the turn and weakened. MY MAN HUEY was prominent early to the inside of the pacesetter, started to weaken along the rail on the turn and tired down the lane. RED HOT LEAD broke a step slow, traveled near the back inside rivals, got put in tight and took up at the three-eighths pole, trailed a bit off the rail into the lane and passed tired rivals. ROSTRON pursued from off the pace up the backstretch, went two wide into the turn, angled to the rail and saved ground to the stretch, then failed to menace in the lane. GATO VOLADOR followed in range early, fell out of range in the two path on the turn and faded.
