Footnotes
TEMPUS VOLAT dueled from inside into the first turn then took control around the bend, showed the way up the backstretch, roused on the far turn, continued clear into the lane, challenged by DECAPO with a furlong remaining and responded well by edging clear from that rival in deep stretch. DECAPO broke a step slow then quickly moved up and started to pull behind the top pair from the two path, moved to the inside at the five-eighths pole bothering a rival, continued keenly up the backstretch under a hold, drafted behind TEMPUS VOLAT through the far turn on the fence, tipped two wide into the lane, drew alongside the leader at the eighth pole but was turned away late. ARTIC POWER (IRE) broke a step slow, sat off the pace on the inside, moved into the two path midway around the far turn, split foes at the top of the lane and bested the rest. FAUSTO saved ground towards the rear, hugged the rail to the stretch, asked left handed in the lane and kept on to earn a minor award. NEVER AMBLING (IRE) was off slow to begin, traveled outside a rival at the back, had two rivals beat into the far turn, eased over to the three path around that bend, tipped out further at the top of the lane and improved position. B GRAYSON bobbled leaving the gate, chased from inside, got put in tight by DECAPO at the five-eighths pole, saved ground through the far turn and failed to rally. IRON (FR) settled in the three path, chased outside a rival up the backstretch, went two then three wide around the far turn, raced four deep at the top of the lane and failed to respond. KNICKS CODE broke a step slow, moved to the inside racing at the back of the pack, trailed up the backstretch, moved to the two path for the far turn, steered out further in upper stretch, ran into traffic in deep stretch and could not regain momentum. DOC BOVIE dueled from outside into the first turn then took a stalking position around the bend, remained closest in pursuit to the far turn, continued two wide around the bend, got moved to the three path by the runner-up entering the lane and weakened. JUST RESILIENCE tracked in the two path, ridden along on the far turn, spun three wide into the lane and faded.
