Footnotes
FULL SERRANO (ARG) sprinted to the front and moved into the two path, found the rail around the first turn, showed the way up the backstretch, kicked away on the far turn under coaxing, opened up when asked for more in upper stretch, ridden out to midstretch and coasted through deep stretch. AMERICAN ADMIRAL outquicked early and trailed four wide in range through the first turn, drew closer from outside on the backstretch, was closest in pursuit three then two wide on the far turn, chased after the runaway winner outside PACKS A WAHLOP through the lane and was able to hold second. PACKS A WAHLOP coaxed along early chasing on the inside, bumped with II BELLATOR into the first turn, stalked up the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch, chased inside AMERCIAN ADMIRAL down the stretch and got outdueled for second. TWO RIVERS OVER reared up in the gate, stalked three deep early, shifted into the path of II BELLATOR early on the far turn, dropped back around the bend and tired. IL BELLATOR bumped with PACKS A WAHLOP into the first turn, stalked between rivals, came under a ride exiting the backstretch, lacked room then clipped heels and unseated his rider early on the far turn, ran around at the back, was caught by the outrider approaching the finish line and walked off. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING THE INCIDENT WITH II BELLATOR AND TWO RIVERS OVER EARLY ON THE FAR TURN. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED IN A MAJORITY DECISION THAT II BELLATOR WAS LUGGING OUT INTO TWO RIVERS OVER WHEN HE CLIPPED HEELS AND FOR THAT REASON THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
