GOING DEEP sprinted clear from the far outside and crossed over, controlled the pace to the half-mile pole, took pressure from RIBBONS shortly after, cleared at rival with three furlongs remaining, led clear into the final furlong, dug in under pressure late from RIBBONS once again and was able to hold on. RIBBONS was closest in pursuit from inside in the early going, challenged from outside past the half-mile pole, could not keep up and chased after the leader two wide around the far turn, came back on in deep stretch but got denied. LILA traveled outside a rival near the back, picked up stride while angling four wide around the far turn, steered out further at the top of the lane, rallied from the middle of the track and kept gaining to the wire. MADONNA OF LORETO stalked the top pair inside a rival, drew closer on the far turn, challenged from inside in the furlong grounds but could not summon the needed fina kick. MADAME SECRETARY stalked from the two path, tipped three wide around the far turn, chased four deep in upper stretch and finished evenly late. CAT THE CONFIDANTE (IRE) settled along the fence, shifted to the two path with a quarter mile remaining, tipped three wide at the top of the lane and also finished evenly late. HEY JESSIE tossed her head and broke a step slow, trailed on the inside, moved out three wide on the backstretch, angled back to the rail for the far turn, went two wide into the lane, kept trying to whittle the gap late but failed to threaten. EIFFEL pulled along the inside near the back, continued keenly in hand on the backstretch, hugged the rail to the stretch and never responded when called upon. PRINCESS EM TOO settled outside a rival, chased two then three wide on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and weakened.
