Footnotes
RUSSELLS HUSTLE tracked along the inside, tipped out past the quarter pole, rallied to the front with a sixteenth remaining and drove clear. MR. LEASURE stalked from inside through both turns, finished willingly through the lane and earned second. SMART CODE stalked three deep early, went up to challenge from outside on the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, took over leaving the far turn, put away inner rival past the eighth pole, lost command a sixteenth out, yielded late but managed to save third. GROGU unhurried in the early going, coaxed along the rail around the far turn, steered off the fence in the lane, summoned a mild rally and missed third. SKETCHY followed in the two path then had to take up when running on the heels of UNBREAKABLE TRUST on the first turn, lost ground while moving out on the far turn, came four wide into the stretch and improved position. DEALERS SPECIAL laid off the pace in the two path, angled five wide around the far turn and failed to threaten. ONE OF THESE DAYS (IRE) chased three deep into the first turn then angled to the rail, saved ground towards the rear on the far turn, came off the fence in upper stretch and failed to menace. DAKOTA COUNTRY tucked inside at the back of the pack, went outside a rival at the halfway point, swung five wide leaving the far turn and improved position. HAWKER dueled from inside into the first turn, took control around that bend, challenged by another rival on the backstretch, fought head to head around the second turn, lost command nearing the stretch and weakened in the drive. SMOOTH SALUTE raced well off the pace next to the rail, was gaining a bit on the far turn but had to pause behind a rival at the quarter pole, cut the corner into the lane and was never a factor. THE OLD NINE (IRE) traveled in mid-pack two wide, angled four wide into the lane and weakened. UNBREAKABLE TRUST dueled outside HAWKER into the first turn, pulled in hand around the bend, stalked outside a rival up the backstretch, faded between runners on the far turn and tired in the lane. This race was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
