MO' EM DOWN was closest in pursuit up the backstretch and around the turn in the two path, closed in past the eighth pole and wore down ECHOS OF VIOLENCE in deep stretch. ECHOS OF VIOLENCE sprinted clear and showed the way from inside through the turn, asked left handed at the eighth pole, challenged by MO' EM DOWN in the last sixteenth, failed to fend off that rival but was able to save second. DARE GREATLY sat off the pace and moved inside, saved ground through the turn, angled out in the lane, finished well and almost got up for second. SURFIN' U. S. A. settled off the pace, traveled along the inside leaving the backstretch, shifted to the two path midway around the bend, steered out further in the lane, put in a late run but was not enough. CAMILA CATALINA unhurried from the outside, trailed while saving ground around the bend, steered out into the stretch, closed well through the final furlong but got going too late.
