MAX CIAO was forwardly placed from outside early, bid three deep or four wide turning for home, dueled outside THIRSTY REBEL in the final furlong and won the bob at the wire. THIRSTY REBEL raced up close to the outside of the SAMMY DAVIS up the backstretch, bid between rivals in the three path exiting the turn, put a head in front past the eighth pole, dueled inside MAX CIAO to the wire and got outnodded on the line. SAUL ELLIOTT stalked from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch, finished willingly along the fence and outkicked FIONELLO for the show honors. FIONELLO coaxed along in range up the backstretch, rounded the bend two to three wide, showed late effort in deep stretch and got outkicked for third. SAMMY DAVIS established the front quickly from inside, showed the way in the two path through the turn, challenged by a pair of rivals entering the lane, clung to a narrow lead with a furlong remaining, relinquished the lead shortly after and weakened late. ANOTHER BULLEIT trailed up the backstretch, moved to the inside, went outside a rival on the turn, steered out in the drive and whittle the gap late. PAVLOVIAN sat off the pace well off the inside, went five then four wide on the turn and proved no menace. DESERT DAWG chased from off the pace on the inside, asked while saving ground around the bend and came up empty in the lane.
