WE THE HOBBY rated along the inside, tipped two wide midway around the far turn, drew alongside the leader midstretch, dug in the last sixteenth and edged RIDEGOLD for the victory. RIDEGOLD stepped to the front, set all the pace on the inside to the stretch, met the bid from WE THE HOBBY in the furlong grounds and yielded grudgingly late. FRENCH MOONLIGHT got bumped and crowded in the beginning, moved to the inside, coaxed along on the far turn, tipped two wide and went between rivals past the quarter pole, angled out in upper stretch and outkicked PENNY WORTH for the show honors. PENNY WORTH settled in the two path, steadied a bit behind a rival past the seven-sixteenths pole, moved to the inside, took up at the five-sixteenths pole, steadied along the fence briefly at the five-sixteenths pole, cut the corner into the lane, put to left-handed urging in upper stretch, switched to the right-hand in deep stretch and got outkicked for third. SALLY'S WISH got bumped by outer rival shortly after the start, tracked the pace from inside, came off the rail into the lane and weakened. MPERFECTION steered to the inside racing near the back, trailed up the backstretch, passed a few rivals on the far turn, angled out into the lane and picked off a few more weakening rivals in the drive. HURRY ON HOME bumped with outer rival leaving the gate, began to pull prior to the first turn, went two then three wide around the bend under restraint, had to take up behind a rival while getting shuffled a bit early on the far turn, went two wide into the lane and could not make an impact. SASAFRAN jumped in the air and tossed her head at the start, trailed through the early going, passed rivals from outside in the middle stages, fell back again on the far turn, then passed tired rivals once more down the lane. SPARTA F. C. raced up close in the two path, weakened while easing further off the rail on the far turn and tired in the drive. LUNAR RIDE followed in range in the two path, tired on the far turn, eased in the furlong grounds and walked off. THE STEWARDS REVIEWED THE START OF SASAFRAN AND RULED THAT SHE CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS LEAVING THE GATE AND IS CONSIDERED A STARTER. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
