BIG VENGEANCE stumbled leaving the gate, sent clear from outside, coaxed along through the turn, then drew away under right and left handed urging. ZAKIEL took a bump from outside leaving the gate, stalked the lone speed outside a rival to the stretch, could not make a dent in the winners' lead but was able to outkick HEMET GOLD for the place honors. HEMET GOLD stalked the lone speed from inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and got outkicked for second. STRIKE IT SOLO traveled in mid-pack between rivals then off the rail, ridden along three then four wide on the turn, kept trying through the lane and earned a minor award. MICKEY stumbled at the start, saved ground from off the pace and improved position. WICKED SPUD broke in and bumped, dropped back early, stayed well off the rail, navigated the turn in the five path and passed tired rivals. MIGUELITO raced in mid-pack inside a pair of rivals early, traveled along the rail into the turn, driven two wide into the stretch and failed to rally. CORNEALEUSTHEGREAT unhurried in the early going, rounded the turn four then five wide and failed to menace. BLINDLY LOYAL came away slow, raced in mid-pack three deep then outside a rival, took the turn two then three wide and came up empty in the drive. HENIE IN BLACK was off slow leaving the gate, trailed up the backstretch well off the rail, angled down to the two path on the turn, came three wide into the lane and failed to make an impact.
