Footnotes
MAN CHILD pressed the pace from outside, headed RAGING WATERS at the five-sixteenths pole, gained the advantage late on the bend, cleared under right-handed urging in upper stretch, then drew off in the final furlong. RAGING WATERS took control while under pressure from MAN CHILD to the outside, raced on even terms with that rival at the five-sixteenths pole, lost command approaching the stretch, yielded to the winner shortly after, churned on through the final furlong and was able to hold second. GET HER NUMBER raced up close outside the top pair on the backstretch and around the turn, could not summon the needed rally in the furlong grounds, fought outside RAGING WATERS for the place honors and got denied. GYPSY TEARS broke just a hair slow, stalked two wide into the turn, steered out in upper stretch and missed third. MORELLO chased from inside, asked left-handed while tipping two wide into the stretch, angled out further in the lane and weakened. MAJOR TOM lagged behind early, took the turn two then three wide and was never a factor.
