Footnotes
BOTTLE OF ROUGE broke in and brushed GRANDMA MARY, stalked four wide into the turn, took aim three wide exiting the bend, challenged EXPLORA with a furlong remaining, dueled into deep stretch and drove clear late. EXPLORA took a bump from HIMIKA leaving the gate, went up to take control from inside, met the bid from HIMIKA at the quarter pole, turned that rival away turning for home, confronted by BOTTLE OF ROUGE at the eighth pole, resisted into the final sixteenth, yielded to that rival late and held second. LA WALLY tracked from off the rail, went two wide into the turn, angled to the inside and saved ground to the lane, angled out midstretch and finished willingly for a clear third. HIMIKA broke in and bumped EXPLORA, stalked from inside into the turn, moved to the two path, challenged EXPLORA from outside at the quarter pole, was turned away leaving the bend and faded in the lane. BOURBON AND GINGER showed early speed outside rivals then followed in range up the backstretch, went three wide into the turn, got shuffled back and angled to the inside around the bend, then tired in the stretch run. GRANDMA MARY also showed early speed then ceded command to EXPLORA and stalked that rival to the turn, weakened two then three wide around the bend and had little left for the stretch run. FOURLYNNES lacked early speed, lagged behind to the stretch and never got involved.
