Footnotes
DREAMING OF ALYS settled in the two path, drew closer while angling four wide around the far turn, took aim at the leader entering the final furlong, drew alongside HYPERGAMY at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. PENTLE BAY was off slow to begin, raced three deep at the back then lugged out on the clubhouse turn, steered back to the inside, trailed up the backstretch, passed rivals along the rail then tipped out approaching the stretch, angled out further in the lane, finished well in the final furlong and gained second. HYPERGAMY raced in range in the two path, bid three deep at the quarter pole, took the lead in upper stretch, confronted by the winner at the sixteenth pole and yielded to the top pair late. YOURS SINCERELY (IRE) broke a step slow, reserved on the inside early, went between rivals on the backstretch, chased two then three wide on the far turn, angled out at the top of the lane and produced a mild rally to round out the superfecta. LA VILLE LUMIERE pulled along the inside early, chased two wide between rivals at the quarter pole, tipped three wide into the lane and could not summon the needed late kick. SOARING ANGEL stalked the pace next to the fence, followed behind the leader to the stretch, found room on the rail in the lane but flattened out in the furlong grounds. GOT THE RING saved ground from off the pace, waited to the eighth pole, angled off the fence and lacked a rally. SOUTH BAY dueled from inside into the first turn, inched ahead on the backstretch, maintained a short lead through the far turn, lost command at the top of the lane and weakened. QUEEN BAY was prominent early three deep into the first turn, stalked off the rail to the far turn, bid between rivals around the bend and tired in the stretch run. DATS MS. BLAME traveled outside a rival near the back early, went three deep into the far turn, chased four deep at the quarter pole, angled back to the three path turning for home and was never a factor. CARA ROSE dueled from outside then pressed the pace up the backstretch, retreated through the far turn, eased in the lane and walked off.
